"Wow, that's a lot of stuff!" said Isabella Blackney, age 9, when several large boxes arrived from Nashville.
Miss Blackney was thrilled that someone wanted to help the kids as much as she does. She was even more excited that the boxes came from Sara Evans, the platinum selling recording artist who sings, A Real Fine Place to Start. "I love that song. It's happy and it reminds me that when we all work together that is a good place to start."
Isabella's Fill the Boot campaign has collected and distributed more than 250 pounds of school supplies to three schools. The adopted schools are in Texas, Missouri and Louisiana. Fill the Boot will continue to collect & ship supplies through Halloween.
I like helping. It makes me feel good inside when I help people. We should all help.

No stranger to donating her time, and piggy bank, Isabella Blackney, a Fourth Grade student at Lynch Elementary School in Redmond, OR, wanted to help. "I like helping. It makes me feel good inside when I help people. We should all help. People can look right on the White House website to find where they can help. President Bush likes it when we all get together, that's why his Dad is in all those commercials asking us to help."
Fill the Boot has also collected & donated more than $370 to the American Red Cross to assist in their efforts in Hurricane Relief.
